Week 3 Part B: Developing a Brand

My existing business is So Cal Surplus & Ewaste. I can tell you branding is not easy. The original logo we used from 2013 to 2020 was fairly simple and only represented So Cal Ewaste. Just green and white.

We recently redesigned the logo to include the Surplus. Working with my wife, it was difficult to find a design and color scheme we both liked and felt represented the company. After pages upon pages of different designs we decided there were 3 or 4 we really liked. They all follow the same lay out, but incorporate different colors and backgrounds.
We picked the top design as our main design for branding, such as website, social media and advertising material. The other design we kept handy for putting on T-shirts. The background was chosen to help people connect the electronics part. The two colors help to represent that there are two parts to the business.
